Sing to me, O Muse, of the heroine of spreadsheets and poetry,

who wandered a full many ways inside a Macy's

lost upon a summer morning lo 9 years past, seeking

an exit and some lunch.

She met a man of words and politics, a one-time comrade

of secret college budget talks, and they wiled away together

12 hours straightaway.

After biding a few months, they began to date

and in a year were driven off to Boston's seaside shores

where, ever since, they've made

sweet home and friends together.

And now, after almost too many years, they make official

what's long been known.

TL;DR -- We met at Swarthmore College, we've been together 9 years, and now we have a very mischievous orange cat as our child. Oh yeah, and we're getting married!
